I bought a S&W 22a over the weekend. This model has a 6" barrel instead of a 5.5". The barrel extends 1/2" past the rail. Also I believe this to be a ported barrel; there are two holes drilled in the barrel in a V shape about 1/4" from the end. It appears to be a factory barrel; labeled S&W. I'm having problems finding anything on-line about this gun. Any help would be appreciated. Thx...

I called S&W and tried to buy one of these barrels, and was told they never made any! So when I found one, I called S&W with the ser# and she said, yup we did make some. Less than 200 if I remember right.
I picked up 2 more so now i have three with the ported barrels. I wanted the first one so i could have it threaded for a suppressor.

Thanks for the info! If they only made 200 of them, I wonder if that adds any value to the gun?
