Default Model 4516-1

Bought this one about 1990, and was wondering what it's worth in today's market. It had the factory grip replaced under a recall, and I have the old grip.
I ask as I have rarely have seen any at the gun shows or LGS.
I would say it's about 95%, almost new. I have all the papers and the original box.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I would say around $500-550.

$400-$450 is what it would bring in my experience.

Price is going to depend on location and demand... as you see from the previous replies there's a $100 spread in the estimation.

The 4516-1 is in demand, and I imagine especially so in the states that issue concealed carry permits.

With the original box and paper work, and condition stated, it will have added appeal to S&W collector/accumulators.

My two cents worth is that $500 sounds about right... S&W isn't making them anymore and people that have them tend to hang onto them, like me

What he said (up above). The few I have seen for sale were all in the $450-500 range.

Thank you all for your comments. I was hoping it would be in the $500 area.

$500 for a LNIB 4516-1 would be a good deal in my area. Anything under $500 would be a steal, locally. Regards 18DAI.
