S&W 915 with two 15rd mags for $299, yay or nay?
Local dealer has a used S&W 915 with two 15rd mags for $299, no box. Opinions?
They also have a 4053TSW for the same price but it only has one mag. I prefer DAO guns but I already have three new 5900 mags, a new set of Uncle Mikes grips, PLUS a ton of 9mm ammo. None of those apply to the 4053TSW.

If it's in NRA very good or better condition than it is WELL worth $299. If I were you I would find a way to buy both. The 915 is an awesome shooter and you seem to be pre-set up for it. The 4053TSW would make a good investment gun that you could turn around sell for a nice profit. I have seen 915's that inexpensive before but never a 4053TSW.

oh yep both...
just paid that in Arlington for a 915 with two mags, and the one you are looking at is in slightly better shape...
never seen a 40-anything that cheap. Fort Worth I usually see $399 and up for the non TSW ones...

If both are in good shape, I would consider purchasing the 4053TSW along with the 915, then sell the 4053TSW for a little profit, and reduce the cost of buying the 915. You won't loose money on the 4053TSW, unless it is in really bad shape.
Just my $.02

Everybody's right on this one! Around here that would be a good deal on the 915 and a really good deal on the 4053TSW. I'm pretty much a 9mm & .45 guy but I love the DAO 3rd gen.'s and that would have me considering adding a caliber to my collection. Assuming you weren't in love with one or the other, you could most likely sell either of them pretty easily and get your money back on them. (Consider it a no-cost extended rental!)

Buy both! On the off chance you don't like one or the other - you could flip them here - easily - and probably make a profit!
The 915 is a very underated pistol. Regards 18DAI.

I have a 915 and so does my son.
No frills, solid work horses.
The TSW is icing on the cake.
If you can only afford one, get the 915.
Good Luck!
