Neat! I wonder how many there are like that one?
A little Recon 45 action for comparison:

All Black Shorty 45
Hey Grinder & All,
I did talk to Customer Service on Fri....Paul looked up serial# and said it was a Product Code 170075. It listed all the PC details for that product code except the finish. He said it could have been a short run or prototype. Maybe it was a special order? I left a message for Jimmy Ray in the PC, but did not hear back from him yet. Maybe he can help me next week. Thanks to all for your help.

Interesting the serial number is in the standard first run range
I would bet the S&W Novak NS were part of the deal
Great find no matter what

thats the way all DA PC should have left the factory to make it a true combat pistol.
if someone is paying premium already, the added $$ for the night sights would have been part of the package.

All Black Shorty 45 - Talked To Jim Ray
Just wanted to update. I talked to Jim Ray today. He said there was about 100-125 all black Shorty 45 (170075) guns shipped to Lew Horton in my guns serial # range. He said they had black slide and black anodized frame with Novaks. He said they had the same SKU #. I'm assuming that means the Product Code. Thanks so much for the help from all.
Best regards,

Grinder doesn't even have one and didn't know they existed Mr CQB
I find the number hard to believe considering I've never seen one for sale
and noone here ever saw any.
Great find
