Default S&W 1911 Pro Series: Just bought one. Love it. Any opinions from other owners?

Just looking for some long range ownership/range reports. Rumor has it they are made with Ed Brown parts? True/False? How do they match up against other S&W 1911's or other comparable weapons for that matter?

Thanks in advance to everyone for their input.

I bought one and liked it so much that I went and bought a second. Then I had Kevin at Novak, custom mill front night sights for both guns. I shot one of mine, last week end, to demonstrate and teach a large muscle movement drill during one of our tactical handgun courses. Great guns!

I've been shooting one for a couple of months now. I love it! I am very impressed with it's accuracy. It shoots as good as my 5" 1911's. I have used mostly hard ball stuff with some +p Ranger and assorted jhp's without any problems what so ever. I think this is one of the best new Smiths that I have owned.

I got the 5" .45.

Took it to the range today and have to say, it does shoot extremely well. Tough getting used to those fiber optic sights, tho! Lol.

I love the gun and look fwd to getting more and more famililar with it. Looks like it will be a lasting relationship
