4513TSW Crimson Trace & 4516 series
Received a reply from Crimson Trace on my request for CT grips for the 4513TSW. See no reason they wouldn't work on a Shorty 45 or a 4516 series as well. I am posting their reply so all interested parties can join in.
GRANTED everyone doesn't want them, and I myself do not intend to "look-for-the-Light" when that "Moment-in-time" might occur, BUT a very useful training tool AND always nice to have "choices" . Cast a vote and give us a choice.

Dear Sir or Madame
Thank you for your inquiry.
At this time Crimson Trace does not produce a Lasergrip to fit the Smith & Wesson 4513TSW, However we do get periodic requests for this model, and we are continually adding new Lasergrip models to our product line based on customer demand. All of our products are make and model specific.
We do record "Future Model Requests" and submit our findings to our design team quarterly for review. We encourage you to add your vote to what you would like to see Crimson Trace develop in the future, please use our "Future Model Request" form located here: Request New Laser Sight Models | Crimson Trace Laser Grips

I think that is the same generic response for "insert model here" that Crimson Trace puts out. In my opinion, I think the only next financially viable model to make for S&W pistols is the 3rd Gen 45acp and 10mm full size models, as they share the same frame, much as the 9mm and 40S&W--which they already make a grip for (LG-359). Hopefully I am wrong, but I do not see CT making grips for OOP/limited run pistols which have a limited market. Frankly, I am suprised they haven't produced one for the S&W 3rd Gen 45's and 10mm, as the 45's are still being used in some law-enforcement agencies.

for cryin out loud, I just do not see why they cant make a simple wrap for the smiths 3rd gen... kinda like this.... or like the hogue band grip. I mean, I want the laser, but I really dont want to change out my grips.

The odds are pretty low that they are going to design a grip for a pistol that has been all but abandoned by the factory that created it. However, you might be able to get them to do it for one of the models that is still being found in police holsters.

Why can't Crimson trace sell us the parts and a good gunsmith can fit it into a set of Hogue Grips ??

I agree that there should be a simpler solution, but if you get in to the construction details of the CT grip you'll see how much effort it takes to keep the laser solidly attached. Most windage and elevation adjustments (with the little hair size allan wrench) require less than 1/4 turn so you can see that it doesn't take much movement to put the laser out of adjustment.

They will. Order the LG-359 laser grip and a box of Xacto blades. Better get the BIG box of blades. <G>
Seriously, the LG-359 can be modified to fit the 9mm and some 40 cal models. I suspect it might work on the 45 frames, but I haven't yet been able to confirm that.

We're not getting older, we're getting better - we're just a little distance challenged. The most important tool for doing this modification is a huge lighted magnifying glass.
Seriously, a lot of people have asked about doing a laser for the compact frame 45/40 and I hate to turn anyone down. At the same time I wasn't planning to start another business, but I can't pass up a good challenge.
In another thread yesterday someone gave me the dimensions and I think it is doable so if there is demand for the grips I'll start watching for a gun I can use to fit the grips. So please PM me if you're interested and also give me a heads up if you see a 4513TSW, 4553TSW, 4013, 4014, 4053, 4054, 4516, 4556, or 457 which is for sale. (I'd prefer a 45.)
