Default new guy with 5904

Hello there as it says I'm new here. Just purchased a 5904 from my local pawn/gun store and I like it it's in excelent shape and shoots great. Right nowe I'm loking for hints and tricks to take this gun and maybe tweak it a bit, recoil spring, grips, sights and maybe a few of your favorite handloads, etc. I feel like I got a great buy on this gun $325.00 plus tax with a holstr and one extra mag.

welcome to the forum and congrats on a great gun! There's not a whole lot to do with it other than shoot it. There are Hogue grips available if you don't like the originals, but otherwise not much. I'd just shoot it and make sure everything works right and have lots of fun!

Default I had one years ago-best 9mm I ever owned.

I still have a straight grip (S&W factory grip, but straight backed rather than the rounded bottom) I just found in a drawer yesterday, pretty much like new.
It is a great carry pistol-compare it to a Keltac P-11 and it is maybe an inch longer and not much heavier. with a longer grip and higher capacity.

Sold mine after carrying it as a go-to work gun-I retired.

Enjoy it-there are really no mods or "improvements" needed with it-spend the money on ammo.

Welcome to the forum! I've got a 5904 and just realized I've never taken a picture of it to post...kinda unusual for me.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the purchase. If it is anywhere close to the 5903 it's a great pistol. My 5903 TSW was a PD trade out of Gwinnett Co. and it's a fine shooter.
