Default TSW Recoil Springs

I was congratulating my LGS on the great deal he gave me on my 5906TSW and talked about the precision fit of the frame/slide assembly, the absolute accuracy and repeatability on the range, etc.
He cautioned me that if I were to shoot this gun a lot, I should change out the recoil spring on a regular basis. How often? About every thousand rounds, he says.
I've had this pistol for 10 days and have put over 400 rounds through it already.
Am I destined to monthly spring changes or is my Pusher being overly rambunctious?

Follow the manufacturer's recommendation.

When your brass starts to go further than normal it's just past time to change the springs.

Were I shooting 9mm +P or +P+ through that 5906TSW......in large quantities.....I might change the recoil springs every 1000 rounds.

But shooting standard pressure 9mm I wouldn't change them out till 3000 rounds or every 5 years, whichever came first.

Perhaps your LGS guy was thinking of Kimber. Regards 18DAI.

That comment was very mean to Kimber.

I loved it :-)

Aaand there you have it ...

Really I guess it will be a "feel" thing, won't it?

All I know is, I'm shooting the bejesus out of it and loving every minute.

I'd stick around but I gotta go visit the Dillon and load more nine.
