S&W 22a 7 inch
 

The local stores have the shorter barrel lengths but I've never seen one with the 7 inch barrel. Are they that hard to find?

I've never personally seen one in a store...only the 5-1/2", which seems like a good length to me. You can buy extra barrels from S&W if you want the longer one.

Picked up a 22a with 5-1/2" about a month ago. The store I deal with had to order it from their distributor who had all three barrell lengths available so I got it in less than a week.

Bud's has the 7 inch models in stock.
