Default Looking At A 2214

I recently acquired a 61-3, and like it a lot. Was wondering if
the 2214 is the same size except for the length? I've heard that the
2214 was a fairly accurate pistol, but I really don't know much about the semi's.
Of course, if I had a 2214, I'd want a holster for it. Would there be
a commercially available one, or would it be a custom proposition? I've
got a Nemesis that fits the 61, but the longer 2214 would need a belt holster of some kind.
Thanks for any and all thoughts, positive OR negative.

It has been over twenty years since I owned my last #61, but I think the #2213/2214 is a little longer and taller. I can hit fairly well with our #2213 & 2214 pistols off a bench using sandbags. The lightweight guns are difficult for me to shoot off-hand very well.

F.I.S.T. gun leather shows a mold for the 422/622/2206 series of pistols but I imagine a custom holster would be the way to go. The thinness of these guns makes it difficult to fit them into leather made for another model of firearm.

I also own two #622's and two #2206's, it is a shame S&W discontinued this series of handguns.

I picked up a 2214 a few months ago. I love it. For a tiny pistol, it's pretty accurate, and reliable with ammo it likes.
I haven't carried it, so no idea for holsters, also no idea on comparison with the escort, as I don't have one.
The 2214 is a nice little gun, though. Only problem, is now I need a 422 to go with it, and more magazines...

I shot a 2214 back in the late 1980's and loved it. The pistol belonged to a friend of mine who was quite the "collector." If memory serves he allowed his daughter to shoot the 2214 and never returned it! Ever since then the 2214 and/or 2213 have been on my list of items to buy some day. And on rare occasion when you find one for sale they have either retained their value or actually gone up in price. And if you are lucky enough to find one with the original box and/or zipper gun rug with the owner's manual you are sure to pay a pretty penny.

Now when am I going to add one of those to my collection???

I bought my son one of those twenty-four years ago when he was five years old. It is LMT1XX, bottom one in the picture. I gave $150.00 for it back then. I imagine a nice one in the box would bring $500.00. I swapped the 2213 in the top of the photo in February 2014 for a near new S&W 32 Terrier .38 S&W, which I gave to my granddaughter.
