Anyway, Is there a how to for a detail strip of a S&W 1026.

there used to be one for the 1076 on the gunsmithing section.

maybe someone has the link.

dont remove the frame mounted decocker until you see pics and are confident you can go back with it.

i have never "messed" with one, but I have read they are a "BAER" to get back together.

check on you tube. try model 1076 for your search functions.

I would suggest that you first print copies of the photos from the link I posted earlier to have them at your work bench. Next, take a look at the two pages from a thread on this forum back in 2006. Take a very, very good look at the parts and their placement as you disassemble the pistol. After studying the photos in the link, the 2006 thread and the pistol as you disassemble it, it should all "come together" . . . i.e., make sense.

Tip: It helps if you try to understand how it all works together, then reassembly will make better sense. Good luck.
