Hey all, Hope ya don't mind me asking a few ? as i've been all over this inter web and can't find the answer. Now i could just be dumb as a box of rocks.
first off this weapon belonged to my father in law that just passed a couple weeks ago. It's a S@W Air Lite PD 40/40. My mother in law has asked me to sell off his weapons, so i'm tring to figure out a far price to get for them. I could find most every thing else he has but not this one. So if any of ya could help me out i would me most gratefull.
This weapon is in brand new condation and i bet it hasn't had 1 clip run through it. Thanks
Steve

Welcome to the forum.
The 4040PD happens to be my favorite 3rd gen. It was introduced in 2003 and is basically a 3913 but in 40 cal. It was, from my research a somewhat limited production pistol, not rare, but hard to find. It was the first scandium framed 40 cal semi-auto made. It is light and accurate. Some do find the recoil to be a little snappy because of the lightweight frame, but its nothing proper shooting methods won't fix.

Now for the question on value. Does it have the original box, papers and extra magazine? If it has all of that and is either NIB or LNIB, depending on where you live, would be between $550 to $750. It really depends on the buyer for where in price range you end up. Post some pictures and another forum member or myself can narrow the range a little.

These are great shooting compact .40's.

Thanks for your help. This is LNIB and has all the paper work and extra mag. I will get some pics up as soon as the MIL gets out of the hospital. She's the only one with the combo to the gun safe. I have held this gun and i might just keep it for my self. Sell off all the Rugers and the kel tec.
Thanks again Steve from PA but lives in TN
