Default question on the PPKS made by S@W

I am picking one up next week I think or did check the serial number ends in BAB
I think 2002 year I have no glue on the gun or any history on it :I called S@W they said it was never sent in on recall
I wonder are they all bad and needed to be return to the factory for the checking of the safety block hammer issue.I am going to try it at the range to see what other problems I run into as far as the operation on how the gun shoot any fail to feed or stove pipes.

I don't think you'll be able to properly test the recall issue, which I believe was that when dropped the gun may fire. One nice thing was I heard (from my customers) that S&W had ironed the other faults out of the PPK/(S)
Perhaps S&W will send you a pre-paid label for shipping.

well I did shoot the gun to day to test it the gun ran excellent with Federal 95 Gr. FMJ
I also tried a few times with a round in the chamber to use the decocker safety and while pointed in a safe direction the safety work perfect.I also tried while the safety engaged to fan the hammer letting it fall no problem the gun did not fire .
I did shoot my buddies Walters a few weeks back and did a hammer bite but with the S@W no problems
I like to ask a question is there a block safety on the gun let say you DO NOT ENGAUGE THE DECOCKER on the gun : hammer down on a live round with the gun fire if the hammer did fall or get struck hard enough??
