Afternoon at the gun show
Spent a few or more hours at the local gun show today. Here's some of the interesting S&W things spotted:
M41 low serial 13xxx with an extended front sight barrel on it, and a 7 3/8" .22 short barrel and slide with it in the box, one each regular and short magazine, AND a set of weights in the original blue labeled box, not the handcuff box. No price showing and didn't even ask...
5906 Super 9, but only the 9mm Parabellum barrel $700 (I think)
Nice 3913, but priced well north of $500
4006TSW, well worn, 3 mags $400
Couple of 6904s of average quality, M59 that looked nice, a clean 5906
Resisted all those, but came away with a like new (4 shots old) Winchester 1300 Defender.
My friend was looking for nice older 1911s, and Win 1894s, didn't find one to buy, but was making a deal in the parking lot as I left for an 1894 he's been after for a while from a work-mate.
All in all, just a fun day looking at guns.

Allright , nice looking day , jump on the bike , a nice 50mi putt thru rural PA farmlands to the gunshow. Small show , but a lot of cool stuff. Got some ammo for a good price. 4-50rd boxes of Hirtenberg L7A1 9mm ball for 50 bucks. Got a 50rd box of older Winchester .30 Carbine 110gr hollow point and a 20rd box of Federal Classic 110gr soft point , 40 for both. Also got some nice OD green 1911A1 and M1 Garand T-shirts , 2-$20.
Saw one of those cased Texas Commemorative 44-40 N-frames for $750. One guy has a used Model 15 with black pearl plastic grips for $259
As I was leaving , the black clouds started to roll in. I stopped a little roadside farm stand and filled my one saddlebag with farm fresh tomatos , cucumbers , corn , peppers and strawberries , for $5! Was gonna hit a few more destinations , but about halfway back , the clouds just DUMPED on me. Couldn't see and didn't want to chance it so I pulled her over and ducked under a ballfields bleachers for about a half hour. Rain all but stopped , so I got back on the road. Still soaked , the steady drizzle made sure I wasn't gonna 'blow-dry' on the road , so homeward bound to change into dry clothes. Naturally about 5mi from home , the clouds broke and sun came out bright. Got home and changed out of my soaking wets , and had some lunch. Good thing I didn't go back out because it's raining again.
Oh well , there's always tomorrow. There's a big show up in the Poconos.
Life is good , for now!

WAC show? I was there from about 0830-1030. I found a nice 5-screw 4" Pre-Model 28 on a buddy's table. No box, papers, or orginal grips...but it came with an old Bianchi duty rig and was pretty clean and tight. Price was right, at $450, too
I didnt see too much in the way of good autos...just the usual selection. A guy at the last show had a LNIB Model 39-2 for $500. The show was pretty slow when I got there, it might of picked up later in the day though.

Yup, the WAC show. We cruised in about 11, and lingered until about 3 PM.
Do you get the pre-28? I thought I saw one of those.
