S&W 4006 vs 411
I have a model 411 in .40S&W.
Is the magazine from the 4006 usable in my pistol?
I sure wouldn't mind picking up 3 more mags on the cheap if it is.

WOW! That's a great price. If I wasn't broke at the moment I would get a 4006

I thought they looked similar, but wasn't positive about the fit.

I too have a 6906. They say they are marked LE.. What does that mark mean, none of my S&W org mags have LE stamped on them. I have two Mag with the black pinkie butt-plates like this but mine have small cracks in the plastic butt-plates at the rear edges.. Not sure I should odder or not.. I would hate to get a few more with cracked plastic butt plates.. I have to keep in mind that the small cracks in the rear edges of two of mine. It does not change function of my mags.. I have three 12 round Mags already for my 6906.. Yay or Nay to buy some more used ones from this site? George

LE just means that they were made during the Federal AWB's magazine restrictions where no new >10 round capacity magazines could be made to sell to normal folks. Any new ones had to be marked so. The marking means nothing now, unless you are in a capacity restricted state.
I am not sure about the cracks, but if they function fine and are not getting worse, I wouldn't worry about it. Especially at this price!

Thanks for the reply.. I see they are also selling the 6906 mags with out the "LE" marking on them for the same price. Also selling as used. What ones are bound to be the newest of the two? May as well get the newest mags if I order... Thanks George

Update,
I just got two mags from CDNN for my 6906 and they were shipped right in org. S&W plastic bags with S&W cardboard insert. They are fast shippers and the mags are in great shape even the plastic pinkie butt plate.. They are marked LE Law enforcement only and on one side there is numbers & holes from 5,7,9,11 and on the other side Numbers and holes from 4,6,8,10,12. My org. mags had only one side marked from 2 to 12.. I see no issues in any way with them. They look almost like new. I think they were a very good deal! George

Wow, 2011 thread.
In this case I think it would be better to start a new thread as many will try the link then find it is 5 years old.
I'm just sayin'.......

Anybody know anyone who makes a adjustable rear sight for the S&W 4006 TSW CHP that I just purchased from CNND. It has a Novak rear fixed now, but shoots 3" low at 20 yards, so I'm trying to find a adjustable rear fiber optic or night sight for it so I can get it at POI. Dawson has offered to help with the front but don't have anything to fit the rear.
The gun was new in a new S&W box, looks like it has never been fired. They were rated good to very good, but sure never expected it to be new! Happy happy happy!

Not to be a jerk, but officers that shoot low and left are told to adjust there shooting techniques and they’re not target guns. The gun you bought probably is a loaner gun. Loaners are given to officers while their gun is being inspected and are not issued to anyone

Smith & Wesson adjustable sights for the 4006 TSW are available via special order from Midway USA. Do a keyword search on their website for "Wesson 4006" on their site and they will appear on the first page of search results.

I remember when CDNN had a pile of those mags, they couldn't give them away. I bought several from them. I should have bought more.
