3913 9 round magazine grip filler?
Hello All;
I picked up a nice 3913 and bought an extra single stack 9 round magazine. There is an empty space between the mags' bottom plate and the end of the pistols grip.
I don't want a _pinky extension_ for the 9 round magazine.
I know that some kind of "filler" piece can be bought, I need to know what that "thing" is called before I can go shopping for one!
Anyone? Thanks

I only see the blued 909 using a single stack (9) round magazine. Since they were only made for two years I'd think you could trade it for two (8) round single stack mags, to the right person.

3906 and 3904 use the 9 round too. I used one for a belt reload when I carried a 3913. It sticks out a little, but in a pinch.....
There are a couple of 9 round mags up on Fleabay which appear to be wearing grip sleeves that would work with a S&W 9 round mag. Hope this helps. Regards 18DAI

I was suspecting the 4" barrel had a larger magazine too (not having either), but in checking skjos list it shows they are (8) round mags in his current version. An old version shows the same. Surprised nobody caught that mistake & asked for a correction?

IIRC there were longer than 3913 8 round mags that held only 8 rounds and went in the 909/3904 and 3906.
The 9 rounders came along with the....?...952? And then they came in some of the aforementioned guns as well.
I had a 3906 that came with one 8 round and two 9 round mags. Only way you could tell them apart was by checking the witness holes in the mags.
An ex GF took that 3906 with her. I miss the gun. But she left the extra mags! Regards 18DAI

Do what I did. Works great.
Pachmayr Mag sleeves for Kahr MK9 on 3913
Been using this setup on three mags for a few months now and they are awesome.
By the way, the guts from a 3913 mag in a 3904 mag body gives you 9 round capacity every time. In fact the spring and follower for the later 3904 mags is the exact same part numbers as the later 3913.
All of my 3904/3906 mags are 9-round magazines now that they share the followers and springs of the 3913 magazines.
In fact, it's a tight fit but models 39 mags become 9-rounders with the 3913 guts in them too. A hair too tight for my liking but it does work.

One word of caution on grip sleeves, well several words actually.
Make sure that the magazine drops free of the gun freely when ejected if you are using it as a carry weapon.
Have a Glock 19 and purchased some 17 magazines for carry as a 2nd and 3rd magaizine while on duty when I was an LEO. The grip sleeves impeded the magazine from dropping freely, and it was a quality one.
Tossed them in the extra stuff I shouldn't have bought drawer and figured if I was reloading the gap in between the grip and mag bottom would be the least of my concerns.

The main reason for the sleeve is to prevent over insertion of a fresh magazine while the slide is open. This can break the ejector in a S&W pistol as well as jam the gun up. The sleeve stops the mag going high enough in the frame to cause that problem. A pleasant side effect is that it feels nice in the hand. I have used the factory filler for the 5900 mags to use with 6900 pistols for years and never hear of one preventing the mag from dropping free.
