Default Bought a 4566 tsw

I already posted a gunsmithing question about my new gun, but here's a picture of it.

I'm really pleased with this pistol. It's my first 45 acp. I've only put 50 rounds down range, but it's definetly a keeper. Kind of irratated me that I couldn't find a certain replacement part. But I guess that's the price you pay for liking discontinued guns.

Nice piece. I have a 4563TSW with Trijicon sites that does night stand duty, along with a light on the rail. It's been super reliable and have no doubt it will do it's job if called.

I'm wondering what's the difference betw the two as they appear to be identical????

4563 has an aluminum frame. 4566 has a stainless steel frame. I just brought a 4563TSW home and I love it.

Just curious.....will this be your duty carry piece?

If you can't answer due to stuff....I understand.

Unfortunately, no this is a private firearm. Our agency used to issue the plain vanilla 4566, but we recently switched over to the full size M&P 45. I absolutely HATE the M&P. I wont get into why or how much I hate it, but most guys want to go back to the 4566. As soon as I can find a suitable holster for my 4563, it will become my everyday concealed carry. Again, unfortunately when on duty I have to carry the M&P.

Thumbs up

I too have just recently purchased a 4566tsw. Wonderful gun, and no slop in the barrel bushing and the slide to frame fit is very tight. It shoots better than I can, nice balance, perfect gun. Love it!

Had a chance to 50 hollow points down range. Relaible and accurate gun as advertised. Too bad 45 is so expensive or I'd have put 100 through it.

Default One word answer:

Reload

After all, if you're not reloading you're not shooting enough

PS: my nightstand gun is a 4586....I bought it recently and put night sights on it and replaced the magazine and recoil springs.

I replaced the mag springs and recoil spring on my 5906 right off the bat, but decided with the 4566 I'd see if it needed it before buying any.
