Default 39-2

Is a 39-2 NIB, papers, accessories worth slightly north of 600? Hard to date but would estimate 1973 or so.

Saw a 39 in Viet Nam, bought one new in 1971 after coming home. Have always had a regret for selling it a few years later

Talk me out of it if this is out of line.

That sounds too dear to me, even if it's nickeled and one of the accessories is a dust cover. These aren't that hard to find, even with the box.

It might be too much now....but just about right in a couple of years (months?). The 39-2 is gaining quite a following these days, and soon the creampuffs will be hard to find. I brought my son and his friend out plinking the other day and they were making soda cans dance like you wouldn't believe. The friend had never shot a handgun before (from Germany). I was amazed, and it reaffirmed my belief that the 39 is one of the most naturally pointing and "easy to shoot well" semi-autos out there. A thing of beauty is a joy forever...that's the 39.

That does seem a bit much. I'd probably ask $500 or thereabouts for mine. It's not LNIB but it's close, and I have 4 original factory magazines for it. If you're looking for a shooter, I picked up another one for $299 last month. That's a bit lower than I expected. I'd have probably gone up to $349 for it if I'd had to.
