Default SW99 RSA Question

Bought this a few months ago.
Great shape, unknown round count but shouldn't be too high given condition but I wanted to have an extra RSA on hand given I also have a P99.
I called Walther today about ordering one and the rep was adamant that it would not work in the SW99. He said call S&W which I did and not surprisingly they are out permanently.
I just got done comparing the 2 and other than the blue end on the Walther, they look exactly the same and I can't imagine why they would have a different weight rating.
Is this a function of Walther not wanting to condescend to helping out with the red-headed stepchild SW99 and they really are exactly the same?
Thanks

Do a "notify me" on MidwayUSA's website. They tend to mysteriously appear from time to time although there are no guarantees. This time they could be gone for good.
