Warranty repair question...
I sent my sigma out for repair last saturday and today it was delivered, my question is if it would be possible to add a problem/request to the list after it has already been shipped? I've been wanting to get the trigger lightened and smoothed out since I got it, but I didn't know I could request to have that done under warranty till I joined this forum and came across a post that someone did it through warranty of course I saw the post till after I shipped it... it was sent to springfield, ma for repairs... should I send a e-mail to s&w asking this? or just wait to get it back and ask to send it out again? thanks.

Call them soon. Sometimes their turnaround time can be very fast. They will take care of you. Smith and Wesson customer service is the best in the business.

Just call Customer Service , it's faster and more likely to get you what you need. Have your RMA numbers available when you call, they were on the shipping label.

I'll do that tomarrow, in the e-mail I got with the shipping label there was a 800 number along with a extention would I use that extension? I went ahead and wrote down all the info around the RMA number from the label just in case... thanks for the responses.

Well I called them and the rep told me that they DON'T do trigger work (in general or just sigmas I don't know) and it was just a internet rumor someone started which they can't seem to stop... which sucks...

I read about that on the internet also and decided to take a chance and send the Sigma in for trigger smoothing. Got it back 2 days later and nothing was done. At least they didn't charge for shipping. Oh well.

The Performance Center still does "3rd Generation Action Jobs", but I guess that doesn't include the Sigma series.
Sorry that you were misled, and they couldn't help you.
You might check up in the Sigma and SD area which is a subset of this section.

If your trigger is rough and defective, S&W will repair or replace the sear block assembly.
However, the people who think they can buy a Sigma and get the trigger converted to the SD are out of luck: they bought the wrong gun in that case.
Cutting or removing the springs to "improve" the Sigma aren't the answer either, unless you want a range queen.
I expect many people to ignore this caution, as many have before.

a heavy trigger is one thing but I would not have expected a new gun to have a rough/gritty trigger... I don't mean to rag o the gun which I do like but even my first gun which was a old CZ52 had alot smoother trigger...

I actually would expect a new trigger to be a little rough on some guns. Shoot it, and it may smooth out considerably.

I'll keep shooting it... about 400+ rounds so far...
