I saw a SW 1911 SC -E ser. After seeing
The pict. I want one. I was looking for a
Bullseye gun. I went to SW site n saw about
5 guns but they are from $900 to $2500
To get a real good bullseye gun, were
Do I need to be in price?
I'm shooting a sig P226x6 but looking for a great
SW gun. Any info ?
If you like S&Ws I suggest the M845. If you use a different pistol for the centerfire stage the M52, PPC9, maybe a 3566 fitted with a 9x19 barrel would work. The accuracy of these varies but mine are all capable of shooting 2inch groups at 50m fairly consistently from the bench with the right load. My 952 is not quite as accurate as the previous three but it would work OK.
Most of the top shooters are using red dot sights, and personally, I would have a tough time drilling into any of my PC pistols to fit one.

I should of said in a 9 mm gun in a 1911!
. What do you think
Of the SW 1911 SC in the E ser. ? I would get
The performance center gun.
The only 9mm 1911 that S&W offers now is the Pro Series. The one I have does shoot quite well, and with the right load I'm sure it would do well for Bullseye. S&W did have a couple of .38 Super PC guns that could have a 9mm barrel installed pretty easy, but your getting into Les Baer price range now.
Well I assume you want a 45 . A 945 no dash or an 845 would work . Forget the 9mm or 38 special until you make Master . You must shoot the 45 & the more time you spend mastering it the better off you'll be in the long run . Most now days shoot 45 in the center fire portion anyway . For a 1911 style 45 Les Baer out the box or a used Norinco or SAMilspec worked over by a" Bullseye " 'smith is the way to go . The later if you have budget constraints . If you chose this route PM or e mailme & I'll tell you some recognized 'smiths that can make you a competitive gun . Stayaway from your local run of the mill & action pistol smiths as they don't know what a Bullseye shooter needs . Don't get me wrong some of 'em build good guns , but don't realize how good a trigger or lock up accuracy needed to group @ 50yds . Bianchi Cup shooters are the only others who regularly shoot @ 50yds & they use BOTH hands . Another tip is shoot a Marvel 22 conversion on a 1911 frame with the same trigger / configuration as your 45 wadgun . It'll help you considerably with your 45 shooting . BME makes many no dril no tap scope mounts if you wish to use a red dot . I have one on my 52-2 . Again if I can help feel free to PM / Email me . Always happy to help another shooter . Attached are pics of some of my BE guns
