Default 6906 Laser Optics (from Optics Planet )

Knowing they don't make Laser Grips for the 6906, I wrote them anyway ( yesterday ). I related the interest I've seen at this forum from members that own the finest 3rd Gen semi-auto S&W makes ( IMO ).

Today I received an email from them. This was their reply:

""Crimson Trace is one of the few companies that actively solicit suggestions for future models - please feel free to pass this link around on the S&W forum "":

Request New Laser Sight Models | Crimson Trace Laser Grips

The following is from the site " request page ":

Quote:
Let us know which model firearm you would like to see us design a laser system for. We can't promise anything, but we look closely at customer interest when choosing which new models to tackle.
They now have my email request for a "NewModel" Laser grip for my 6906. How about adding your request to the link above? Who knows? If enough of us hit them up for one, maybe we'll get somewhere ( or, maybe not ).

Two minutes of your time may be the best 2 minutes you've spent for a while. I'm going there now to make it Formal...

If you do fill out the form, how about a simple " yes " in a Reply?
I'll keep track and write them back at a later date...

Default CT grips for 6906

I just logged onto the CT link and requested 6906 grips.

Yes! Maybe they'll listen.

This has posted several times, I wish Crimson Trace would make for more model S&W's, however, I have given up hope that they would spend the R&D money to make them for these now out-of-production guns. Especially models that don't have a lot of interchangability. If they are going to make another model for 3rd Gen S&W's--my money is on the full-size 45's and 10mm.

I just left a message for them to make the laser for the 6906. The added benefit that if they ever do, it just may fit my Shorty Forty nicely!

Don't hold your breath. I left a number of messages on their website over several years and even talked to one of their managers about a group buy. Bottom line is the design costs are high and the 3d gens are out of production and they'd never recoup their costs (which they claim are in the neighborhood of 250k).

The LG359 model for the 59xx series can be modified to fit the 6906 and similar doublestacks. Takes a bit of work, but not a lot of genius.
