Question Types of 952 Safeties

My 952-2 has a grip safety and a hammer block only slide mounted safety.

Did any earlier 952 model have a true slide mounted safety that locked the hammer back allowing cocked and locked carry?

Did any earlier 952 model lack the grip safety?

Thanks

The early 952s had the same hammerblock safety, but not the grip safety. Most of the single action target S&Ws were like this. (Limited, PPC, etc) The Super 9 is the only third generation single action model that locks the hammer that I remember.
