Default M&P 9mm VTAC Magazines

Any Idea how to get magazines for this gun. I just bought one and would like to have 3, 4 more mags. Do I buy the regular M&P 9mm 17 round mags and try to find the Flat Dark Earth Base Plates for them (can't even find the mags right now - have NO idea where to get the base plates)?

Thank you in advance. This is my second day of searching so I thought that I would ask the experts.

1. Do the M&P 17 round mags work in this gun or is it a special mag?

2. Where do I find the base plates?

Leon

I have been searching since I got my .40 VTAC and can never find any in stock anywhere. I just bought regular .40 mags and painted the base plates. Also yes the 17 roung mags work as well. I also use the vtac mags in my 40c with no issues as well. Everything should work fine. It didnt look bad with the black mags in the VTAC anyways so its not a big deal.

I bought some from here about a month ago. The black ones work fine. I have both the FDE VTAC and the Black Threaded, so I have about 10 mags and fill them all up...then empty then all real fast

If you are still looking for these, S&W has the base plates for $1.50 if you bought the black and want to make them match.

Not really trying to hijack the thread, but I just became aware of the VTAC model, and I'm interested in their sights.

Do yours have the special double sight (both tritium and fiber optic dots)?

How do you like them? Do they actually work as well as I think they should, or do they take a lot of getting used to?

Thanks guys.
