356 TSW buy it now..I bought it!!
Steve here... Like the sign says. I have a line on a two tone full size, with adjustable sight. 356 tsw allegedly like new in the box, two mags and paperwork. I can find very little info on line and no sold pistols for comps to get a value. Any thoughts
Thank you Steven

Collect or shoot?
Ammo seems to be damn near impossible to find, easier to find 10MM than the TSW. Interesting weapon, can be converted to 9MM but if you wanted to do that you could find a cheaper alternative.
I don't know if the collector value is worth the price.
You're pennies, your choice I guess. Here's a link to a conversation here on the forum
some 356 tsw questions

Hi Steve,
I collect S&W Performance Center semi-autos, and so do several of my acquaintances on the forum here. To a collector, that gun in that condition (technically its a model 3566 Limited) is easily worth $1,000. It listed new in 1993 for $1350, and I paid about that much and I've seen a few others get snapped up for roughly that also. The .356 TSW ammo is hard to find and expensive (it hasn't been manufactured in 20 years) but some owners say they have no problem shooting standard 9mm ammo through it. And you used to be able to buy a 9mm barrel conversion from S&W, not sure if they still do that. Its a gun with a really cool history, and it was designed specifically for the S&W team, so it is very accurate. And any Performance Center semi-auto in nice condition will cost at least that much, probably considerably more.
Bottom line, its a terrific deal as a collectible, but if you want a shooter its impractical because of the ammo. If you want to talk about the gun some more, PM me with email or phone info, I'll be glad to talk it over.
Bill

.356 TSW Limited
I shoot mine every Friday night and twice a month on Saturdays in competition.
I converted mine to 9mm by getting a PC 952 barrel and fitting it tight.
The competition knows what their up against when I'm on the firing line.
It is very, very accurate, many adversaries go home less than happy.
The other one that I also shoot is my Wesman Special conversion.
The Elusive Wesman 5906/5903 Custom
Regards,
BM1

Buy it now:)
Steve here... picked it up earlier this afternoon. Came with what I think is the correct box, and three 15 rnd factory mags. It appears almost unused. From what I described, Bill said It's a 3566 Limited. It is single action only..
Any other info you guys have would be great. serial range is TSW060X
Thank you Steven

Like new indeed! Very, very nice looking.
For reference, the original box would be a royal blue plastic clamshell with self snapping latches (sort of a knobby texture), with a rectangular stamped impression in the top and the round performance center logo inside that rectangle. Do your mags have any logo and/or writing on them?
Enjoy.

...And I am soooooo glad you bought it, because even though I already have one, I would have to have snapped it up at that price. Surely my wife would understand shopping logic like that?

356 TSW
Thanks all for the great info links and pics!!
I was able to get out to the range today, with some light target loads I made up with cut down 38 super comp brass that showed up this afternoon. I put a bed spring in it from my 52-2, and with some Bullseye and a 135grn 356402 Ideals hard cast... It functioned flawlessly. I even tried some FULL Wadcutters, they leaded, but The pistol fed and functioned them perfectly. I couldn't even believe it... The load ramp looks so similar to my 52-2, thats why I loaded up the wadcutters
