I forgot this thread... I ended up getting the Lew Horton Pro E-series and an 5" E-series.. Here's a group photo of my semi 45's and my 3" Pro and SC model.. I also picked up a couple of Colts a few weeks ago, an old 1973 series 70 and a 1997 series 80

My first auto was a M39 bought new in '76. Great pistol that shoots as good as the guy holding it.
Most recent S&W E series.
And ... a lot of Colts in the time between.

Is that the 70's rough nickle 70 series combat commander at the bottom of the picture?

My early 4567 (3 digit s#). This is the pistol that gave me the confidence to depart from the revolver for defense. It has never never malfunctioned regardless of what I have asked it to digest.
I am so fond of it I bought a 3913TSW this week for an every day carry.
They are so simular in balance and function, when shooting it alongside my 4567 it is easy to forget which one I am shooting.

Looking at all these S&W 45 makes me want to go right out and find one! It's on my list but I may wait until all the panic buying stops.
I don't have one yet but here is a pic of my 10mm

My 4586TSW with billboard removed. I bought it last week, fired 550 rounds in two days, and it now gets carried. Don Hume makes a nice black basketweave pancake for it, the 721R.
If I can find a Safariland 6280 for it, I will use it on the CAT-IV pistol qual and really upset the youngins.

My first and last 45's
here is my first model 645 adjustable sight with custom Purpleheart grips and my newest 3" pro series. The changes from the first to the last is vast, but both are superb in their own way. I have never sold an S&W after initial purchase and can't see why anyone ever would. Jerry 3 pro.jpg

Can you post a picture of the feedramp of your barrel?
I have been looking to buy one of these, but it has what looks like whirls or polishing on the feed ramp and little wear I am wondering if this one has been modified by a shade tree gunsmith?
I would appreciate a photo of the barrel and feed ramp to see what one looks like?
Thanks

It will shoot any 45ACP I run through it. It has never failed.
