I’m trying to group the third generation models by frame sizes and could use the advice of some of the 40xx and 45xx model gurus to see if I have them sorted out correctly. My objective is to determine which additional frames I can adapt the Crimson Trace LG359 (the 59xx series) laser grips to fit. I currently have them on my 6906, 908 and am working on the CS9.

The gazillion different third generation models makes me crazy, but when you break down all the models there are only a limited number of frame sizes (as far as grip size). The 9mm models are pretty easy and I think I have them covered.

The fullsize, double stack frame models are all the same size in the grip: 4006CHP, 4003TSW, 4006TSW, 4043TSW, 4046TSW, 410, 4003, 4004, 4006, 4043, 4044, 4046, 411, 5903, 5903SSV, 5904, 5906, 5943, 5943SSV, 5944, 5946, 5967, 5945RCMP, 5903TSW, 5906TSW, 5943TSW, 5946TSW, 910, 915, Super9. The stock CT LG-359 laser grips fit those so no problem.

All of the 39xx series and 908 are single stacks and use the same grips.

The 69xx series are double stacks and fit all 69xx models (w/o frame decocker) as well as the 4013TSW, 4053TSW, 4056TSW.

Here’s where I need some help and would appreciate verification of my list. It seems that, other than the CS models, there are only two other frame sizes for 10, 40 and 45 models.

My list of 40 and 45 cal compact frame, single stack models includes: 4513TSW, 4553TSW, 4013, 4014, 4053, 4054, 4516, 4556, 457

The large frame, single stack models (w/o frame decocker) include: 4563TSW, 4566TSW, 4583TSW, 4586TSW, 4505, 4567, 1006, 1066, 1086, 4506, 4546, 4566, 4586, 4596

The CS40 and CS45 are the same.

Do I have them grouped correctly? Any suggestions on which model group is most deserving of the next laser modification?

Did you find out any info on mounting the LG 359 to the 4586? I have one and I think I can adapt it to the 4586. But with a price tag of 379.00 I need help. Maybe a gun smith could do it? Thanks

It can be done, but you really don't want to do it unless you plan to screw up a couple of grips.

Search this forum for 6906 laser and you'll find lots more information.

BTW, the LG359 can be found for about $250 street price. Check fleabay.
