I've pulled the laser and it functions fine but in the gun the right side wont turn on without pushing very hard, the left side works well though. The nub inside the rubber button almost seem's to be compressed enough to not put pressure on the switch int he laser. Is there a common fix for this?

Yes there is. Do a search and you will find the fix. You can also call S&W and they will send you a couple of sets. I find that if I change them every so often they work fine again. The fix is a real winner from what I've heard.

I just take the button out and roll it in my fingers, like a "booger" for lack of a better term. Put it back in and it's good to go. I have read the"fix with the q-tip" but the booger trick only takes a second and I have only had to do it a couple times in the last year.

I've pulled the buttons out before it only takes a minute or so. The post in the middle seemed deformed and flattened on the right side one. I guess I'll search for the q-tip fix.

Kinda ****** they dont work already, I rarely use it.
