Default M-41 Addition

Thought you would enjoy seeing the latest addition to the tribe.

Package came with 5.5" barrel with brake, 5" field barrel, and 5.5" heavy barrel, paperwork, cleaning rod with tips, and extra mag in what appears to be a factory presentation case.

The gold pull tab has the S&W gold logo. If anyone can confirm this is a factory presentation case please let me know.

Cheers, Scott

May I ask did it come from Reno?

Sure did. Saw it and bought it. Looked good to me.

Not sure why there was no mention of the extra mag, paperwork, cleaning rod or the case in the ad or on the phone when I called. When I did call to inquire on the length of the barrel with the brake the salesman told me the ad was a mistake. He said the barrel was the usual 7 3/8 and he said he measured it while I was on the phone. They really had no idea what they had.

I agree...

You beat me to it.

It is easy to see the length up against the other barrels.

It is well worth what you paid...

Can you provide some close up pictures of the barrel with the muzzle brake? Both with and without the brake installed? If if is a factory 5.5" barrel with muzzle brake, then its a rare piece.

Will post some closeups when I can get some clear shots with the camera. I tried the other day and the pictures turned out poorly. All the barrels appear factory to me. Will send for a factory letter one of snowy days.

Do you have any further information on the 5 1/2 with the brake?
How about better pictures or a letter?

Default 5 1/2 barrel with Brake

Well that is not the 5 1/2 HB, but it is 5 1/2 inches cut down from the
7 3/8 barrel. Just imagine what the 5 1/2 HB would look like.
This is the first I have ever seen. Would be nice to know if it were factory or not.
