Default help please,s/w 22a1 recall question.

my wife and daughter in collage couldnt work the slide reliably on her sigma so i traded it for a .22 auto 22a1.anyway it was new in the case maybe one clip ever fired through it.and we have been shooting mini/mags through it reliably.well i was nosing and reading up on the pistol and noticed the recall and lo and behold this one falls in the middle of the recall serial numbers.do i need to contact smith wesson or can i let it go since its running fine.thanks.
