Default Had to pass on 7 S&W Semi-Autos Today!

Im staying with family in Illinois right now () and I had the misfortune of one of my sight screws breaking on another pistol I brought over.

Thus I paid a visit to the nearest gunsmith to have the problem resolved when I encountered the following on sale:

Model 659
Model 459
Model 5903
Single Stack compact 9mm with bobbed hammer ( didn't see the model number)
Single stack 3913
Model 39
Model 59

Apparently a guy came in and liquidated his entire S&W collection in one sitting. Great news for me as I've been looking for a 5903 in a store. But alas I must let these go to a different owner.

Two reasons I have to pass

One Id have to send them to a South Dakota FFL as I am not an Illinois resident, and two they want far too much money for the guns. The 659 they wanted $450 for, which isn't too unreasonable but the 5903 they wanted $490 for it.The most affordable S&W on sale was paradoxically the 659.

This brings me to a question for the experts-did S&W lighten the DA pull on the Third Gen pistols, or is it just mental imagination? I tried the 659's trigger and then the 5903's right afterward, and the 659 had almost a 'Two-stage' double action pull compared to the Third Gen's consistent weight.

The second gens still had a half-cock notch on the hammer so there would be a distinctive click.
The TDA 3rd gens did not have that notch.

It could be part imagination but one of the changes made to the 3rd gens was improving the trigger pull.
