Default 5906 plus2 mag baseplate questions

New to forum. Just got my concealed carry and have a 5906 orderd. I have a question regarding mag extenders. I found a video on youtube today demonstrating larger capacity mags for the 5906. I have large hands and would like to know where to get the plus 2 mag baseplate. When holding a 5906 my pinky finger is completely off of the bottom of the pistol. That is the only drawback I can find so far. It is not too big a deal, but now that I know there may be a way to correct this I want to find out. Where can I find this plus 2 part. Any help/advice appreciated.

If your fingers fall off the bottom of a 5906 then you should look for a Desert Eagle. The mag extensions you're talking about are for the 5900 mags being used in the compact 6900 series guns. If your fingers are falling off a 5900 you may want to use the pinky extensions from the 6900 guns on your mags.

Lenox273:

Welcome.

First, which model did you buy? Isn't it a 6906?

The "Grip +2 Extensions" are black plastic adapters which allow a 5900 series mag to be inserted into a 6900 series gun and fill in the gap because the laonger mag sticks out a bit. Looks good and is very functional allowing a much better grip of the gun. Actually, it should be +3 because the gun goes from 12 rounds of 9mm to 15rds of 9mm by using the adapter.

The name came from the fact that the adapters can be used for the 40 caliber large/medium frame guns which then would make it +2 rounds.
There are some for sale on this forum.

Thanks guys. Never owned a pistol before so please excuse my ignorance. It is a 5906. It is just my pinky that is below the grip, rest of the fingers are fine. Have not recieved the gun yet but have held a few and know how it fits my hand. Accidentally found the youtube video today and it got me thinking. I will post the youtube link when I get to work and have high speed, so you can see what I am talking about. Not worried about more round capacity, just better fit. I will look into the pinky extensions. Thanks again.
