Default Looking at a 645...

I'm looking at a used 645. I have a question though....Does it share holsters with a 4506?

looks like a great gun.
thanks, Jeff

It will depend on how perfect a fit you need. If I remember correctly they have different trigger guards.

Holster fitment will not be a problem. Get a Galco CM292. Hands down the best belt slide for a full size S&W autoloader. This even fits my SW99-45. It is made for a square trigger, but all of my round trigger guard S&W's fit. Hell, it even fits my Beretta 92. Opticsplanet has them in the low 60 dollar range.

cool, I think it has a square trigger guard.

I guess kydex holsters wouldn't really fir then. Leather is more forgiving.

P.S. you'll never regret a .645. IMHO one of the best looking, working, shooting guns out there.

Oh...and yes it will fit....especially well if the holster was made to fit a square trigger guard.

Default On the 645 guns.

Do they use the same magazines as the 4506's? If not are they still available?

Yes, they do. I recently found a 645 with its original box and two mags.
I love this gun. Heavy...yes but a great shooting Smith auto.
I've owned a 4563TSW and I like this 645 just as well. You will have a lifetime of enjoyment with it.

My 645 is my first .45 and I love it. Thinking of starting to reload my own so I can afford to shoot it more. Buy it!
