Default Trying to recall .45 model?

Hey All,
I normally hang out in the revolver section of this forum, but recently recalled a semiauto S&W that I owned.

Does anyone know the model number of a pistol that would have been bought new in 2003, single stack, stainless slide...perhaps an aluminum frame, .45caliber, compact grip and slide (not a chief's model)?

I barely owned it for long enough to break it in, and then deployed to Iraq...so sold it off to a friend of a friend...

I too often dismiss the "old" Smith semiautos, in favor of the newest plastic guns...but would love to give this solid pistol another look (if I could ever find one)

Any guesses or info would be great!
Thanks!
