Default Slide Stuck on 459

The slide on my 459 is stuck. This happened when I was assembling the pistol after cleaning. The slide is wedged between the metal slats behind the hammer and something within the slide mechanism. Any advise is very much appreciated.

Hey W.E.G.,

The thread was extremely helpful. I was able to get the slide unjammed in less than 2 minutes. Thank you very much for your time & the link!

awesome -- glad it got you squared you away

I loves my Gen2 autos, but they can be a pains in the six when they won't act right.

My ordeal:
Model 659 - trigger not picking up hammer when returned to fire postion after de-cock

I wouldn't call it a beating.

More like a "coaxing."

Automatic center punch providing force for non-marring brass punch.
