I've got a 4013 TSW but it does not have a rail to mount a light or laser. Is there an aftermarket rail that I can add?

From what I understand the pre-rail guns' dust covers are to thin to mount rails to them.

This is just my opinion, of course, and it is your pistol so you can do whatever you wish to it. However, if the pistol is in nice condition, I would advise that you not punch holes in frame to add a rail on your 4013TSW. The pistol was only cataloged for two years. There are guys out there who are looking for "pre-rail" TSW models. I have a 3913TSW pre-rail and, based on various postings I've read over the years, they appear to be more prized and sought after than the later ones with rails riveted on. FWIW

My first 4013TSW came with the rail. I thought about removing the rail or having the "rivets" replaced somehow with metal ones. It was easier to patiently wait for a forum member to put up a pre-rail 4013TSW! Of course l used that as an excuse to get another 4013...

Per the SCSW, the Tactical w/o the rail and the 40 Tactical would appear to be different models, and not the same gun without and then with rail added, so I believe the dust cover probably is too thin. Anyone know if the MSE prefix .40 frames are the same as the .40 TSW 4053s?
