Default Why didn't Smith make?

If you would indulge me for a moment here.

Through all of the years Smith has made odd ball guns and different configurations and runs of stuff. Why didn't they ever do something in 10mm for the automatics? They've killed and brought back the 10mm in revolvers several times even creating the 310 Nightguard for a short time. I just don't understand why they don't or haven't done more with the 10mm. To me it seems like their ba$#tard step child that every few years they do something with and then through away again.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

Oh boy,
You don't want to get me started.
They did make a line of 10 mm's in semi-auto. (i.e. - 1006, 1026, 1046, 1066, 1076 and 1086).
They just stopped short when the .40 S&W cartridge came out and never pursued the compacts and sub-compacts.

Please read some of my posts on the compact/mini .40/10 conversions and what has been done with the .356 TSW.

CS-40 and 4013 in 10 mm Conversions;
1013/4013 Here it is, history in the making & 4516-1, -2, 4536 and 457 in 10 m.m.
CS-40 in 10 m.m. - DONE - CS-40/CS-45 Extended Magazines

.356 TSW Conversions;
6906 in .356 TSW, Marlin Camp-9/.356 TSW, New Project - Ruger PC4/.357 SIG

Best regards,
BM1

I thought they made the 10xx series for quite a while. No, you don't see them pop up used for sale very often since most who have them seem to have a "from my cold dead hands" fell about them... But I wouldn't say they kicked them to the curb. I keep swearing they are going to make a M&P in 10mm, but I may just be dreaming. There isn't a terrible lot they would have to do to a M&P45 to make it into a 10mm...
