Default Is the Model 41 being discontinued

I have heard from several people in my bullseye league that S&W is discontinuing the Model 41. Is this true ?

I know they just started releasing new ones for sale, so I'm not convinced.

It's not a high production item, and I think they're down to one guy that knows how to build them, so when he goes....

I'd get one now.

I would guess it will probably just remain a low production item but canceled outright; I sure hope not! Major parts have been on back order for a while so they're not currently 'equipped' to be in production when there are no barrel's available; those are supposed to show up in late Feb to early March now last I heard.

BUT should they go out of production there are what 55+ years of Model 41's around to choose from so...

The Maine plant is just now getting around to working on civilian guns again. They have been swamped with two large LE orders.
