Default Sometimes you just get lucky

I've been using the web gun auction sites for quite awhile, most of the time what you receive is close to what the seller advertises. Sometimes its better or worse. Only two times have I gotten lemons and parted with them quickly, most of the time as trading fodder. This time I got something that far exceded the description and best of all I got it dirt cheap. I felt bad so I had to look at his other auctions and picked up a second pistol at a very cheap price also. Pistol #1 is a 6904, my guess less than 50 rounds through it, virtually no wear, box and paper. One piece of paper had a written date of May 1994. It was listed with no magazine, I already have 5 mags for my 6906. Pistol #2 he had listed a 1911-A1 Springfield, it did not turn out as good as described, but a little work got it back to condition, had a massive Idiot marks around the slide stop. Don't think it was ever cleaned. I got the feeling that the PO did not know how to break it down, evidence of the slide stop scratches. Now I got a match for my Springfield Champion.

Very nice score--the 6904 looks hardly used

I had a chance to really look the 6904 over with magna glass yesterday and now I doubt that it ever had a box of shell through it at all, maybe more like one or two 12 round mags.

Took the 1911-A1 FS out to the field, not overly impressed with it. Still needs some work, I like the 4" Champion better.
