I have a model 108282, S&W 1911 that has a serial number below 100. This pistol was a dealer sample that had to be kept in the retailer's case for one year before it could be sold. This pistol is new in the box. Can anyone tell me the value of this pistol?

$600-$800. I had one, with a higher number, and loved it.

That one will most certainly have custom shop parts in it (Wilson Combat, etc), before S&W went into full production. Would be a nice gun to S&W 1911 to have.

I took it to my local gun shop and put it on consignment. It is brand new and in the box, never fired. It does have the custome parts and Briley match barrel.

are you sure you don't want to list it where someone is more than likely ready, willing, and able to purchase will see it???
this is a site for dedicated S/W fans and the first place I would list for sale...
