669
Does anyone here own a 669? I had one many years ago and had to sell it. I am chasing after mine or at least one just like it but I want to be sure that it is worth chasing. I have great memories of it but then I may be forgetting the bad and remember only the good. Any input would be helpful as I have located a couple and would like some feed back as to what I should be looking for or should I be letting go of a good memory of a bad gun.
Thanks, Frank.

We had issues with slide rails cracking on low round count units.
In the past, S&W repaired them. but the 659 we wanted to send in for a frame crack was denied due to a lack of parts.
I'd look for a 6906.

I bought my 669 because I am partial to the Delrin grips. I changed the springs out for Wolffs' and put a 6906 slide on it because of the better sights. It's one of my favorite off-duty guns, and it was relatively inexpensive.

I have 2 and when I travel to states where my permit is valid I CCW one of them. I have never had a problem with mine and magazines are easy to find and inexpensive.
