I lost my SCSW when my hard drive went TU or I'd look it up for you as I'm curious, too.

I have BDX3037, CDC # A1209. Came from CDNN about a year ago. Where'd you get yours?

FWIW, I used to fly 441-0169, N441CN back when it was new. Always wondered what the dash 10's were like.

Hello Hill _Country,
I purchased it from a FFL in Naples, FL that I have had previous dealings with. I do not know where he got if from but I was told that it was a special order. His previous 6906 offerings on GB were exceptional. It is a CA Dept of Corrections #A1623.
Conquest II, nice equiptment
Thanks for input!
Mike...

Her's my S&W 6906 that I carried as a back up - or when I was in plain clothes in 1990

As a straight duty gun we carries a 4516

I still have them both.

I like the 3rd Gen S&W auto's so much I bought a 5906 2 years ago

These guns are a real bargain now.

This must be a special run because the SCSW doesn't have any semi-autos with serial number beginning with B. Good luck with your search.

Might have been an LE run...the black trigger and hammer I believe came in the mid to late 90's versions as MIM parts. Very nice gun!

Default 6906

Now I am curious also, as I have a 6906 coming, and it's serial number starts with the same BDX yours does. Anyone finds anything, please copy me on it too. The second one I got from the same seller has a TDS serial number.
Thanks,
Steve

Default Left S&W Factory on 11/22/06

Hello Guys,
I sent a message to S&W asking for any info on my S&W serial # BDX3996. I got a reply the next day from Steve Roach stating that the firearm left the Smith and Wesson Factory on 11/22/06 but could not disclose the final destination because of confidentially issues.
Good people at Smith & Wesson, thanks Steve for this info!

Thank you for that information, ConquestN98858! I just bought a 6906 today, serial # BDX31xx and the barrel, slide and frame are marked A1240 which I couldn't figure out until you mentioned the CA DOC.

It has holster wear but hardly any wear on the feed ramp, barrel and other areas indicating not many rounds have been fired. Very pleased with it and it joins a 5906 and 5903 in my collection.

I guess I can assume my BDX is from earlier in 2006. I'll have to contact S&W to see. Thanks again!

Default 441 Conquests! (Oh, and the 6906.)

Oh, man! The 441 is one of my favorites! The -10s mean for- realzies single-engine go. Climbs like a home sick angel, smooth and quiet at cruise. I used to give check rides in 'em. Great birds.
Oh, this is a GUN forum. OKfine.
I had a 6906 in the '80s. It was popular with women in the Customs and Immigration Service, they said because it fit their hands well. I got one and carried it as a backup for a number of years, second to my fatter Sig 228, but only with magazines that had the finger extension. Nice gun. I had seven magazines for it. I had no problems with it, but I always felt it seemed more fragile than the tough-as-a-tank Sig. Maybe not true, just a feeling. Mine is still in the area but I haven't seen or fired it in almost 20 years.
People today complain a lot about the internal lock now on most S&W guns, though I haven't heard there have been many problems. *I* traded the 6906 because it had that magazine-trigger disconnect and I did NOT like it. In a training exercise one time, using a Sig 228, I inadvertently ejected a full magazine. If I needed to, I could have still pulled the trigger for one shot as I dove for cover. Not with the 6906. That mattered to me.
Elsewhere on the forum someone was asking about the magazine capacity. I called the current owner, a LEO about 30 miles away. He said they're marked for 12 rounds with witness holes on both sides. They are steel with solid plastic followers, and tough as nails, he said.
Funny thing, the serial number is NOT shown in the S&W SC! I got it in about 1985. I won't post it because I don't own it any more.

Lots of similarities between the C441 and the S&W 6906. Great performance, perfect ergonomics and just a good solid feel.

See how easy that was to make it gun related. <G>

(SN 0169 was mine when it was new - let's not talk about how long ago that was. Never got any -10 441 time, but plenty in rice rockets and SA sewer pipes. It was a smoker.)

I called Smith&Wesson CS (800-331-0852) today and was told my 6906 left their factory on 11/25/06
