where to get s&w magazines
looking for a place to buy mags for 908,3914,3953,,, any place that sell them used... and what about the promag mags for these models, any comments about them...
got a pm into a forum member about some he has posted in the classifieds... waiting to hear from him... in the mean time ill keep searching..

I get mine from hole in the wall shops and gunshows. I got a nice early 39 mag with the metal skeleton follower for $15 along with a 59 mag for the same price from a small surplus store. you got to hunt for factory smith mags if you dont want to pay a high price for a new one.

I would avoid those aftermarket mags like the plague. Stick to the real deal and you will never be disappointed.
My experience is that while there are many quality mags for 1911s, for the S&W autos the genuine ones are the only way to go.
CDNN has groups of them from time to time. A also got a number of them from Summit Gunbroker.

I agree I stay with the factory mags as well.had to many bad mags from other makers.

3900 series? Factory all the way. 5900 series? Mec Gar is great in addition to factory.
