i have a 4006 and i need an armorer's manual for it. does anyone know where i can purchase one? i need to be able to break this gun all the way down so that i can do some work on it.

I found something on youtube that helped me. A dude completely breaks down a 4506. It's the same as your 4006. let me see if I can find it and I'll get back to you.

i have an email into s&w...but have not heard back...their service is really not that good imo. i sent my 4006 in for some work and it took them a long time to complete the work. the long delay is expected with the workload, but they never sent me a copy of the work that was completed. if i get my hands on the armorer's manual, i will be sure to share...just send me a pm.

no luck from smith and wesson...in fact, their service leaves a lot to be desired. i am pretty disappointed that they couldn't help me out. anyways, the armorer's manual is only sold if you go through their gunsmith course...and i am not going to do that.

i am thinking of just selling it at this point. i don't care to even own another smith and wesson...their service quite frankly sucks.

It may be the fact that they only want to have trianed armorer's having the manual.

Maybe they are thinking liability if they give a manual to an individual they did not train to work on their weapons?

The only way I ever got close to what you want to do is buy an AR15 and a Beretta (92fs, M9, whatever). You can get the US military manuals and they tell you all you might want to know. But doesn't help with your S&W. What did you send it in for that took so long?
