My new (to me) 3914
Found a beautiful, like new 3914. The guy claimed his wifes father was an FFL, gave it to her on her 18th birthday. She fired one mag through it and put it away.
Only had one mag with it though, where is the best place to find a couple?
Serial #TFA29xx. Any ideals on year of birth???

Great find. Congratulations, you are gonna love the gun.
I do have a question though.. I own a 3914 and a 3913, both of which have double sided safety. Did the Lady Smiths come with only a single sided safety?

Yes the LS variant only had the left side safety. I know this because... today I was posting trying to find out how to get the Ambi safety to LH only on a 3913.
By the way congratulations. Very good purchase.

My 3914 has a left side only safety and I thought that was one of the differences (along with materials) between the two.

Until this post, I have never seen a left side only safety on a 3914. Anyone else have a factory built left side only safety on their 3914?
I do know you can swap the double sided one for a left side only. I have one in a package waiting to be done on mine. I really like the left side only better.

I've been thinking about putting an ambi safety on mine. My daughter likes shooting the 3914, but she's a lefty and so wants the safety on the right. When she gets her license and if she wants to carry, I'll probably get that done and sell her the gun. Or maybe I'll just hunt around for a 3913, but they are getting expensive as people finally are figuring out how good the 3rd gen semis are and are buying them up.
