Default S&W model 952 no longer in production?

I just bought a Model 952-1 and I'm so satisfied with it, that I was thinking of buying a second one, the stainless steel version in that case. So I was searching S&W's site for the Model 952-2 (stainless), but the only auto handgun that is listed on that page of the Performance Center is the 1911. I only found a picture of the 952-2 under 'archives'. Does that mean this gun is definitely out of production?

I think it was discontinued in 2004 but don't quote me on that. But your theory is right, if one is good two must be better. I've had one like the gunbroker link above for a while and just got another last week, a 952-1 which is a blued model. You just won't find a better 9mm anywhere. They aren't cheap as I guess you already know but well worth it. They don't come up for sale that often so if you see one you like, best jump on it. I've seen them in the $1400 to $1800 range, will be interesting to see what that auction goes for. Heck, if I came across a good deal I might buy a third.

A gun auction! Even in our wildest dreams that is not possible over here. Instead, we have to wait 3 months to get a license to buy any gun. I found a Model 52 in mint condition in Germany, and it will take me even longer to import it into Belgium. That'll be my second 52, because as you point out, two is better than one, especially for unique guns like these. So I'll grab another 952 whenever I get the chance. It outshoots every 9 mm I've ever owned, and that includes a SIG 210!

I hav an opportunity to buy a 9mm Target Champion. There are slight differences in the shape of the frame, compared to the 952-2. Is this a comparable gun, especially regarding accuracy?

Default 952

This might not be the right place to post, but does anyone here have a 952 they would like to sell? Thanks.
