Default The new M&P shield single stack compact

The new Shield M&P compact single stack is coming out this month. I am anxious to hear from someone who is able to get their hands on a 9mm to see what they think of it as a concealable shooter.

M&P Shield

Gunbroker is full of them. Some dealers had them available yesterday, 4/13. S&W's warehouse had stockpiled 7 or 8K awaiting the announcement on the 12th. My dealer thinks I'll have mine early next week.

I got one this morning. I won't get to shoot it until Monday. My impression so far is nice size and shape for carry and pretty good feeling trigger.

Jim, please give us an update after you get some shooting in with it. I want one! But I'd like to get some first hand opinions before I buy it. So if anyone else has/gets one and can give us an opinion, I know I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

How many separate threads need to be opened on the same topic? Come on people look around at the active threads before opening new threads.

Wow surfer dude.....CHILL!!! You know you don't have to read them all if you don't want to. I only count 4 total threads including mine since gun was released yesterday. You can bet as all 8000 of the first run Shields get into buyers hands you'll see many more posts. This forum IS FOR sharing opinions and thoughts, right? And the Shield is the newest S&W pistol, right?I simply ignore the posts and threads I don't want to read.
