Default "TACTICAL" differences...

Looking at the SCSW and it's descriptions of the 3913's it says the "9 TACTICAL" has a matched and numbered frame and slide. It does not say that about the "TACTICAL" version. My take is that the "TACTICAL" version is not really any different than the standard 3913...only the "9 TACTICAL".

Anything gained in the tactical versions of the 3rd gens?

Off the top of my head, the "TACTICAL" are the early versions of the TSW series. The "<caliber number> TACTICAL" were the later\new production version that included the rail and contrasting colored controls.

IIRC, both (aka TSW) versions are different than the standard 3913. I used to have the threads saved, that illustrated the differences, but can't find them.

Just from memory, I know the TSW versions have beefier frame rails and some type of different timing to help control recoil.

I had all this info at hand when I bought my 3913TSW 2 years ago because I also wanted to learn the differences.

Someone more knowledgeable will chime in or search on "3913TSW", "3913 Tactical", etc.

Here's one thread I found. It's referring to the .45ACP TSW, but the TSW family of guns share the same characteristics, IIRC.
