Default Hello...need help.

New to the forum. Let me start by saying hello. I am the range officer for a Texas police dept. I'm trying to locate a firing pin for a S&W model 469. Had a detective break one last Friday during quals. S&W says 6 week min. back order. Any thoughts on where I can locate one. Spring I have...but new spring would be a plus. Thanks in advance.

Hey brother I think the 469 uses the same firing pin as a 39 doesn't it?

If so here are a couple of possibilities-

Smith & Wesson Gun parts; Bob's Gun shop

S&W 39 Cal 9mm - Firing Pin : Small Pistol Parts at GunBroker.com

Good luck!

Per Numrich, the 469 uses the same firing pin as the 39/59, 539, 639, 559, 659 etc.

If another officer has 469 or one listed above, I'd consider getting a pair of caliphers and checking a firing pin for one of the 4 digit guns to see if there's really any difference that matters. Both 3 & 4 digit weapons use a firing pin safety plunger, possibly any differences could be taken care of by a gunsmith pending arrival of at least one proper replacement.
