Default Pix of 5906 and 6906 from CDNN

Here's pictures of the guns I got this week from CDNN Sports; the S&W 5906 and 6906. The MP5 did not come from CDNN. It started life as a HK94 and Terry Dyer got it sear ready, added a trilock adapter and refinished it. I put a Flemming sear in it and that's my 16 year old daughter blowing off a few magazines on full auto. Next time I'll put the Gemtech suppressor on it.

Very nice! I have 2 5946's. One from Cleveland PD and one from the NYPD without the mag safety.

Default Have not been out to the range yet; working last week and

no time; and now I'm off for a week so I'll get out there. Wanted to go today but it's raining and cold, about 39F.

That's the same combo I bought last Summer that started me out on the path to 3rd gen insanity. They look to be in very decent shape, especially the 5906. Happy blastin'.

I think I just fell off the fence to buy a CDNN item. Someone grant me strength. I need to keep the economy afloat.

I cleaned the surface discoleration on the 5906 with a Scotchbrite yellow sponge/green Scotchbrite pad from the kitchen, then actually scrubbed it's parts with dishsoap and hotwater and the pad. I kept it up until it was clean. The I oiled it well, and used GunRig Stainless Steel Gun Grease on it to get it ready to shoot. This is the first of the 3rd generation S&Ws that I own but won't be the last. I'm getting a 4013 in excellent shape at the end of the week.

No, I asked if it was the orginal box numbered to the gun and they said no it was just a blue S&W box so I chose to skip the select option. I ordered it late Wednesday and it was delivered to my FFL Friday morning, It is a little dirty but nothing that a little TLC wont fix, It is in about the same condition as my last 2 (for my sons). It still came with the brand new Hogue grips and one mag and the little plastic box that it ships in.

Got mine today with the standard blue SW box. I went the "select" route. Very pleased with the gun's appearance. Just a little "holster shine" and several very small nicks that can be lightly sanded out.

Here is a CDNN 5906 polished with Mother's mag polish and an old t-shirt.

I picked up one of those CA DEPT of CORRECTIONS 6906s, they are nice but I believe the Sig P228s Swiss police guns are better. Although I do like the SW 6906 it is just not as smooth as the German made Sig for some reason and not as easy to control the shots but both are good guns. It surprised me how accurate the 6906 is.

If you have not already I would replace the factory recoil spring to the SW updated version.

Is it me or does the 228 feel substanially bigger than the 6906?

a little bigger I guess, my 6906s recoil spring might have been worn out making it feel that way when shooting. I have not shot it since I replaced them. Both are double stacks making them fit tight around the hand. I really like the police trade ins for some reason they seem seasoned.
